Ultimate fighting fans, you’re the big winner today.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has bought Pride FC, a rival group, for about $70M, according to ESPN.com. The UFC, now in charge of both rosters of talent, will hold “mega-fights” between both sides’ champions.
So, can we expect a huge pay-per-view at the Coliseum? Bring out the live lions and tigers! And some badgers spleens and wolf nipple chips, please! (Monty Python reference there…)
Last year, UFC cracked $200 million in PPV revenue, putting it on par with World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., according to the story.
Finally…maybe we will be able to see if LIddell will get a chance at Wand….pending he beats Rampage….DREAM FIGHT!!!
Pride is going to kick some ass. Wanderlei Silva is still #1, he will beat all UFC fighters. They could even give him 2 matches in the same day.
